Northland is committed to giving back to our community through sponsorships and our charitable giving program. Our sponsorship of both the USA Ski Jumping Team and the Mainiax rally car racing team represent the passion and competitive spirit of our partners, Rex and Josh. Our charitable giving program supports a variety of organization and institutions in our community.
USA Ski Jumping team
Northland created an award to help bolster growth within the USA Ski Jumping Team. The award is given at the end of each season to the USASJ athlete who most exemplifies the qualities necessary to be a World Class athlete, who along with strong work ethic, displays good sportsmanship, and brings positive energy into the USASJ environment. Athletes are evaluated based on qualities that USASJ staff believes will facilitate improved performance, and will strengthen the Team and enhance USASJ’s effort to be one of the premier ski jumping programs in the world.
Northland also sponsors an individual athlete on the USA Ski Jumping Team. Chris Lamb began ski jumping with the Andover Outing Club and coached by the famed Tim Norris, who has produced countless U.S. Olympians. He is optimistic that the USA is finally on the way to having a world class ski jumping program and says, “I am excited to see so many people coming together to create the best possible learning experience for our team, and look forward to seeing the limits being pushed! It is my passion. It is of course incredibly fun, and has also given me some of the greatest opportunities in this world. I have met some amazing people through ski jumping, been to amazing places, and have learned so much about myself. When it comes down to the basic question though, the feeling of making a great jump is worth blood, sweat, and tears, it makes me so happy.”
Mainiax Rally Team
Northland is a sponsor of the Mainiax Rally team based in York, Maine. With a competition history spanning only five years, Mainiax has won United States Rally Championships and exemplifies Northland’s ethos, that hard work, attention to detail, and calm under pressure (or when driving over 100mph through the trees) is the recipe for success. Mainiax in-car crew consists of Mike Reilly (driver) an accomplished entrepreneur and Northland Enterprises Partner, Josh Benthien (co-driver).
